Elderly Cost Cutting My esteemed mate and popular super radio network colleague Dave Sutherland usually signs-off from his shows with the phrase, “Be kind to your children because they choose your nursing home!” It seems never a more accurate sentiment has been expressed. I have spoken before in this segment about abuse of the elderly; so today I wish to revisit that theme and to focus in particular on the quality of care available to residents of our nation’s Aged Care facilities. Elder abuse is defined by the world health organisation (WHO) as a single or repeated act, or

Human Folly

Humans have been blessed with attributes far exceeding those of animals yet as a species we seem to be hell bent on self-destruction and the destruction of the planet we inhabit. Considering our evolution, the urge to conquer and dominate as proven by history is deeply ingrained in our psyche. Sadly the development of the human brain seems to have been infected with an unknown ‘virus’ which in more recent times is creating havoc across the globe. For the purpose of this text let’s call the virus ‘moronic lunacy’. Sadly, rather than cohesion and cooperation the human species is

The Freedom Fallacy

Is ‘freedom’ really the answer to living a happy contented life? Western societies have long espoused to their ‘free and easy’ way of life and the benefits of such a lifestyle. Today our freedom is slowly being eroded by the establishment. My view is that with ‘freedom’ comes responsibility, a responsibility toward yourself and to other human beings, to respect their views without inflicting your beliefs on others in ways that create discord and animosity, in some cases leading to violence. Humans have morphed into a selfish, self-gratifying species which continually wallows in greed, lust, perversion and intolerance with

Australia’s Slippery Slope to Nowhere We love our country and it’s painful to watch Australia morph into a basket case nation where the social divide between rich and poor is growing exponentially, where the clashes between race and culture are increasing, where the unemployment queues grow longer, where the aged, infirm and homelessness are just a bothersome statistic and where all politicians are failing in their duty to the public (their voters). Australia will follow one of two paths, one being that it will become a ‘failed state as Argentina has become with blood on the streets as the

Power Failure As Australia takes another step toward becoming a Latin American style basket case economy run by incompetent narcissistic dreamers squabbling over their ability to have a better idea than others when it comes to managing the country; the class divide gets wider by the day. Meanwhile on struggle street the hard working masses, the aged and infirm are about to be kicked in the guts again with the energy kingpins about to increase their costs by almost 20% in some cases. So what happened to the government promises? All governments, state and federal promised lower energy prices

Same Muslim Blah, Blah, Blah

We are tired of listening to the racist views of Muslim propagandists who find it acceptable to ridicule and abuse Australia and its people yet continue to live in this country enjoying the many benefits of a western lifestyle including the benefits of our social welfare system. It’s about time our government stamped out these enclaves of disruption to the benefit of all Australians who don’t use and abuse their so called religious beliefs to disrupt, and radicalise peaceful citizens. This article is in response to numerous recent outbursts from radical Muslim people condoning Sharia law, violence toward women

Australia Day Banner

Well said Prue MacSween. One would expect to see such a banner displayed in a Muslim country but not in Australia. Australia is not a Muslim country and those who surreptitiously attempt to make it so should be mindful of the millions of Australians they are offending. Whoever thought to display this banner was cavalier about the message they were sending as all it did was divide even further the rift between immigrants and citizens of Australia. Wherever you come from and no matter what religious belief you follow, if you are unhappy about this great country that took

The Rapid Decline of Civilised Societies

Face the truth that Australia is fast becoming a violent out of control country where crime including fraud, drugs and violence thrives within many cities and country areas and that most of the population is desensitised to the extent that we accept this as the norm. Open your daily papers, read online, its fact that crime is escalating with authorities too reluctant to enforce the law for fear of retribution or a backlash from the civil liberties advocates. Social chaos is being fueled by politicians who at best make a parliamentary appearance and worst say and do nothing meaningful,

Yesterday I raised the issue of the Greens staging a pre-planned walkout during Pauline Hanson’s first speech last week.  The Greens came seriously unstuck. What was obvious to everyone is that the Greens just hate the idea of anyone saying anything to contradict their own twisted view of the world.  And why is it that the Greens are so keen to defend Moslems from even gentle criticism? The Greens are hostile to our Christian civilisation, and they instinctively ally themselves with anyone else who is hostile to Christian civilisation. Following yesterday’s editorial I received a flood of favourable comment,

Failing World Governments – Social Disorder and Poverty

It’s quite obvious to the majority of the population of the world that the main reason for social disorder and poverty around the globe is that governments are failing to provide the necessary conditions for a peaceful and prosperous life. Take a look back throughout recent global history but more importantly Australia’s recent past. Poverty existed then and is now, with no apparent answer other than to donate to charities and provide more services to cope with an ever increasing demand. The retiring Reserve Bank chief Glenn Stephens made some comment to the effect that Australia has been in

Australia – The Lost Continent

An alarming article in the Daily Mail Australia online should be a wake up call to politicians of all persuasions especially to the major parties who claim to have the nation’s interests at heart. We feel sorry for all children who suffer at the hands of parents, religions, governments, criminals and other abusers who are damaging innocent lives in the name of who knows what. Poor children! The article outlines how our legal systems are being undermined and manipulated by immigrants who wish to impose their religious and cultural beliefs onto our free and peaceful society. Why should the

Sober up Ciobo!

A snippet in the GCB with the headline – “Booze not to blame for violence – Ciobo” grabbed our attention. The Federal Tourism Minister Steven Ciobo speaking at the Australian Liquor Stores Association conference clearly attempted to disassociate entertainment precinct violence from the overindulgence of alcohol. He cited ‘lack of transport’ as the reason for street violence by late night clubbers and bar hoppers. Naturally as a responsible intelligent government minister, what else could he have said? Yes we have another uninformed person with his head in the clouds openly supporting the nation’s biggest social scourge – alcohol abuse
